Traveling salesmen were very important to early cutlery companies as each went town to town carrying sample knives in knife rolls, often made of leather, canvas, and oil cloth. These satchel-like carriers, when unrolled, became works of art. Case Cutlery Company pays tribute to the salesmen who helped to build the Case brand with the Salesman's Sample Roll Collection. Knives in this set have embellished master blade and Case XX scrolled bolsters. Each knife is individually serialized and has its own slot in the knife roll. Limited edition of 250 sets produced. Knives do not come with individual boxes. Deluxe brown custom leather knife roll features carrying handle, embossed Case logo, and velvet lined interior with elastic straps to hold knives in place.
