1909 US Issue Bolo Knife.
19 1/2" overall. 14" tempered, high carbon steel blade with proper markings of the era. Brown wood handle with steel guard. Originally designed to be carried as a belt knife to aid US soldiers with jungle foliage in incursions to Cuba and the Philippines. First produced at the Springfield Armory from 1909 - 1915. Heavy leather scabbard has slotting pin in the metal throat and accurately replicates Rock Island Arsenals issue from the era. Bulk packed in cardboard sleeve.
